Where Great Fencers are Forged
How to get started

Fencing is a sport that utilizes the mind and the body, forcing participants to adapt to their opponents and develop
winning strategies.  The sport of Fencing is divided into three blades: Epee, Foil and Saber.  Each has its own rules and techniques, much like the different strokes in competitive swimming.
The Missoula Fencing Association's club program is separated into three age groups:  6-8 (mini-club), 9-19 (student-club), and 20+ (masters club).
Before becoming a member of the mini-club, student-club, or masters-club you must complete an introductory class.  An intro class for ages 9+ starts the first Tuesday of every month, and a mini-intro class for ages 6-8 starts the first Thursday of every month.  Each of these classes meets once a week for three weeks.  Regular intro will focus on a different blade each meeting, while mini-intro will be primarily Foil instruction.
After the end of an intro or mini-intro session, you also get to attend a week's worth of mini-club, student-club, or masters-club practices for FREE.  For more information on Introductory classes follow these links:
